I have to admit that when I found out my baby’s gender, it didn’t take me long to hit up some fabulous baby boutiques. Well, I wanted to share one of my favorites with you, Janie and Jack. OMG! They have the cutest outfits, although they’re a little pricey, items seem to go on sale whenever a new line of clothing comes in. Check it out! You may find something for your little princess. *Tootles*

Our trip to Michaels
Ok, so call me slow or seemingly the one out of the loop — but I had know idea that Michaels, the arts and craft store, had so much variety at such a great cost. I purchased a number of items since Jadyn kept throwing all kinds of things in the basket. She managed to get a boa and a princess hat in there without me noticing, until we hit the cashier. She is so sneaky…and she’s only 2! My goodness!
Well, the real reason we went to Michaels, was to find some different colored paper. We’ve been introducing Jadyn to her colors but she seems to think everything is pink! So, I came across some different colored felt fabric. I grabbed all the colors off the shelf and bounded them together to form a book. I am proud to report that Jadyn knows all of her primary colors and more. I found that the books with different colored animals and shapes weren’t as effective, so I needed something with less distraction. The felt fabric did the trick. Also, try cutting out felt shapes in many colors, it’s a good way to introduce shapes too.

Hair Care for your Mini-Me
So, I’m constantly searching for hair products that will make my daughter’s hair more manageable. Her hair is very curly and thick, which is a recipe for tangles and knots. It takes a lot of patience to sit down and do her hair. Well, I’ve found some products that have made our hair days go a lot smoother.
I love Paul Mitchell products. Their line of products works wonders for my daughter’s hair. I use the Paul Mitchell Shampoo along with the detangler/taming spray made for kids.
Carol’s Daughter hair milk works great! It leaves hair very soft and manageable.
Hope this helps some of you mother’s out there, battling with the brush and tresses!

Mommy and Me
Today, I came across a beautiful poem, entitled “#1 Beautiful Daughter.” Reading it made my heart smile. Being a mother is a gift, I thank God for such an oppurtunity. I pray my little girl moves through life gracefully and cherishes every moment.
#1 Beautiful Daughter
A precious little flower
that is in constant bloom
I watch as yet another milestone
around the corner looms.
It seems like only yesterday
that we shared a breath
but now it seems like tomorrow
you will leave and I’ll be left.
A tiny little angel
that always is in flight
as soon as you came into my life
you brought me so much light.
Your beauty is so stunning
your smile makes me melt
I’m so proud to be your mommy
It’s the best I’ve ever felt.
Oh perfect little princess
with you I’m so in love
every night before I dream
I thank the Lord above.
How did I get so lucky
to have as sweet of a gift as you
If ever you should need me
there’s nothing I wouldn’t do.
Any thoughts? How does your son/daughter make you feel?
